With the problems and costs associated with oil consumption, the United States government must create a contest for anyone who can create an automobile hybrid engine that provides "real world" Miles Per Gallon results of over 100+ MPG, not MPGe. The 100+ MPG engine must pass all EPA fuel economy rating system changes that were made in 2008, which covers:
Faster speeds and acceleration
Air conditioner use
Colder outside temperatures
The engine must be designed so that it can be made available for practical, real-world use in vehicles within three (3) years or less (Ex. a sedan for a family of 4). Light-weight, experimental vehicles will not be considered in this competition, for it will not be considered practical, nor durable, for real-world use.
