Sodium flouride is a common poison. Toothpastes that contain flouride are labled with warnings against swallowing their product. There is no conclusive proof that tooth decay can be prevented by ingesting this poison. The A.D.A does not endorse swallowing flouride as an effective prevention of cavities. Young children and babies are at risk of being poisoned by flouride, for it is in baby food products and sugary toothpastes aplenty. The addition of flouride to our drinking water is an expensive, unnecessary cost to taxpayers. Statewide mandates for municipal water districts have eliminated our right to choose what substances we ingest. Flouride additives do nothing to purify our drinking water, therefore it's addition is groundless. Studies suggest that flouride impairs cognition.
