The American Psychiatric Association is proposing to redefine some physical illnesses as mental illnesses, adding these changes to the DSM-5 manual (diagnosing rheumatoid arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia and others) as mental "problems". This would change the realities of many w/these afflictions, labeling real illnesses as "all in your head". These illnesses are long standing diseases, recognized by the medical community for decades. Now it is proposed that these be labeled psychological diseases. Please do not allow these proposed changes to the DSM-5 manual.
