Yesterday, your administration introduced the GROW AMERICA Act in order to help fund federally funded highway projects. Within the bill there is a provision that revokes "the prohibition on tolling existing free Interstate highways, subject to the approval of the Secretary, for purposes of reconstruction." The problem with this provision is that it opens the possibility for states to create tollways from what were freeways. This will directly affect the middle class, and the lower class particularly in states where using the freeways are necessary to get to work, travel to see family etc, such as Texas. This will also force families to use funds to pay for tolls instead of other vital bills such as food, clothes, and gas. I implore the administration to strike this provision from the bill.
