Please do not stop sending your garment manufacturing orders to Bangladesh. You need the cheap cloths, and we need the business to sustain our economy and socio-economic development. Pulling out your business of Bangladesh would have devastating impact on the country's socio-economic development.
Rather, I would urge you to use your substantial influence to force the Government of Bangladesh and the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) to setup specialised garment processing zones (GPZ) throughout the country. This GPZ would house all the export processing under one authority overseeing the safety, security and rights of the workers. This GPZ would also provide cheap and humane accommodations for the workers and their families.
