A Sudanese court sentenced Meriam Yehya Ibrahim to death when she refused to recant her Christian faith.
Ibrahim maintains that she is a Christian and will remain a Christian. She is currently being held in prison with her 20-month-old son while her legal team tries to appeal the verdict of her case.
Please use all diplomatic alternatives and make the case of Meriam Yehya in Sudan a priority. The United States must stand against religious persecution. The execution of this woman for simply deciding to become a Christian is unacceptable.
Sincerely,
David W. Slagenweit
