Please eliminate the Joint Commission requirements from our Federal Healthcare System: OIG and OSHA already in place.

Created by J.A. on November 27, 2012

The Joint Commission survey requirements should be eliminated from our Federal Healthcare Facilities. Lot of redundancy when you have the OIG, SOARS, OSHA and other federal audit entities enforcement the same requirements.

Take for instance VA and DOD healthcare facilities, you could save hundred of million dollars since we have to pay the Joint Commission (JC) to tell us what the OIG and OSHA already tell us. The JC is a powerful organization with many lobbyists and political interests doing nothing for our system except create confusion and redundancy.

Where was the JC during Katrina and Sandy Disaster or other big tornado disasters?
