please end the inhumane suffering caused by gas chamber euthanasia in animal shelters within the United States.

Created by S.C. on October 27, 2013

Many states in the United States of America still use gas chambers as a form of euthanasia in animal shelters. Unfortunately, this method causes pain and suffering to the animal in this practice. The average cost to use this method is $4.98 per animal, where as using the EBI method cost is about $2.29 per animal. During the last moments of the animals life they endure pain, confusion, and panic. They are trapped inside a metal containment that is pumped full of toxic gas, this usually takes about 35 minutes to cause death. The EBI method takes about 3-5 minutes and causes unconscious within 30 seconds. Their final moments are in the arms of a human. Please help stop this inhumane form of euthanasia in our states and help encourage the EBI method to become the main practice of euthanasia.
