Please conside covering the cost of anti rejection medication for kidney transplant recepients for the lifetime of the patient. This would help patients save their transplanted kidney and take away the financial burden of the medication. Also it is cost effective since it would save medicare and the tax payers millions. Presently medicare covers dialysis for the lifetime of the patient at $70,000 a year. The cost of the anti rejection medication for a year is &19,000. This wold also shorten the list for transplant receipients. This petition has the support of:
