Please, I implore you people of good
conscience to help free Justina Pelletier from
her imprisonment by DCF and the State of
Massachusetts. This is wrong and as a citizen
of the commonwealth I am sicked this
situation has ever transpired. I have hope
common sense and humanity will win out and she
will be returned to her family, allowed to
resume her medical treatment, and be able to
live as her and her parents choose. Her
plight only emphasizes just how close to the
edge of the precipice we are as a free country
and should cause all of us to pause and
reflect of just how fragile and fleeting
freedom really is. As Dr. Martin Luther King,
Jr. said, "Our lives begin to end the day we
become silent about things that matter."
