Look, I know that you still have the same obstructionist GOP that filibustered everything you tried to do to spur job creation last term. I also know that you can't make companies hire people. And finally, I know I've found myself in an area with few technology opportunities.
That said, I haven't had a permanent job since September 2010. I haven't been able to get even a temporary job for a year.
I don't want a handout. I'm willing to commute. I'm willing to retrain. I've signed up with temporary agencies and job boards. I understand I won't see a six-figure job again in my life.
And I know I'm not the only one. Hell, compared to most long-term unemployed I have it easy. But my unemployment insurance runs out in December and I don't know how we'll pay bills or eat.
