On February 18, 2011 I received a letter from the VA with a decision on accrued benefits; Cyclothymic disorder (claimed as Depression) is Denied and Individual Unemployability is also Denied.
I have 3 letters a VA physician which clearly state, “This patient is NOT employable; he has NOT been employable since 1991. This Veteran has total occupational and social impairment due to symptoms of intermittent inability to perform activities of daily living and gross impairment caused by DEPRESSION.” It is clear the Accrued Benefits decision was NOT based on the information in my late husbands VA file. And the VA has continued to deny my late husband, even in death. This is unacceptable! Our veterans and their families deserve better!!!
