Many people in Bay Shore NY have still not recovered from hurricane Sandy. There are many homes still not repaired. Many houses still sit empty and untouched. We have seen contractors take advantage of some homeowners and left them in a legal battle to get their money returned or the work done. Some cannot afford this process while trying to maintain the expense for the damaged home and finding shelter elsewhere. Some are battling with insurance companies to release funds. There needs to be a system set up to help mediate and advocate for these homeowners.
