Please help reasonable citizens of the Commonwealth of Kentucky fight discrimination in the name of religion.

Created by I.H. on March 08, 2013

The Kentucky legislature has sent House Bill 279 to governor Steve Beshear that would allow citizens to ignore state laws if they violate a "sincerely held" religious belief.

You can read the article on Kentucky.com here: http://www.kentucky.com/2013/03/08/2547842/kentucky-senate-sends-religio...

And the full text of the bill here: http://www.lrc.ky.gov/record/13rs/HB279.htm

This bill would allow discrimination against gay, lesbian and transgendered citizens, along with nonreligious and minority citizens, all under a blanket of "religious tolerance." This is not acceptable.

Imagine this: A man beats his wife for not obeying him, then claims he believes the Bible teaches a woman to be subservient to man.

Our country and our state is better than this. Help us stop this.
