We must stop sequester cuts that jeopardize the existence of head start programs like Astor Services for Children and Families that run high quality, comprehensive head start early childhood education. Studies have proven and many families will attest that head start programs are crucial in providing children and their families with opportunities for positive personal development and family well being while fostering healthy parent and child relationships. Children that benefit from head start programs develop fundamental life skills for preparing and overcoming personal life challenges and are more likely to become healthy minded adults and contributing members of society. This is a nationwide issue and we must mobilize ourselves and end sequestration cuts on headstart programs. Thank you
