Please help us (students/loan borrowers) with the Special Direct Consolidation Loan process. President Obama pushed for this initiative last year. However; has anyone at the White House or the Dept. of Education seen how difficult this process is? It seems the process is designed to discourage students/borrowers to actually complete the consolidation process. Why do we need to visit five different Websites with different password requirements, that do not even list loan numbers, amount borrow, etc; making students and borrowers go around from Website to Website, phone number to phone number to get this done. PLEASE help us streamlining the process and actually enforcing the initiative. Which, of course is not in the benefit of the lenders. The current process is truly frustrating.
