Language is meant to express ideas. Improper grammar can convey only confused ideas. Citizens cannot be expected to attach their signatures to a petition which they cannot understand. Therefore, We the People propose that the White House consider only those petitions which are properly constituted in full accordance with the laws of the English language, and ask that the rest of those embarrassing products of our public school system be graciously removed.
