Please include education about the death of Emmett Till in high/middle school curriculum.

Emmett Till was the kickstarter of the civil rights movement, a gun shot heard throughout all of Chicago, Mississippi, and surrounding states. He was brutally beaten and lynched for wolf whistling at a white girl. When the killers were put to trial, there was enough evidence to convict them. However, Mississippi didn't like black folks. The two men got off Scott free. This was the event that caused the majority of black men and women to finally take a stand for their rights. If hardly any of our children are learning about this, it's a shame on the country. It's nowhere in the curriculum, and I only learned about it from my language arts teacher who had taken her own initiative to make us learn about him. Please considering putting one of the greatest events of the 50's in the curriculum.
