Please investigate the 2005 BRAC for fraud, waste and abuse.
The 2005 BRAC closed DOD owned installations and sold the real estate off or returned it to the local municipality. The realignment of organizations caused them to move to new locations that are not DOD owned and rent buildings and other spaces. For example, Kelly AFB and Fort Sam Houston were sold off, however, the same organizational units had to start renting the same work spaces, often for more than $800 million a year per building, causing a strain on the Federal Government's budget of more then several hundred billion dollars a year.
Please look at purchasing the rented installations or moving the organizations to a DOD owned real estate to help reduce the federal budget.
