Please investigate why there is no a la carte availability of tv stations through the web

Created by R.L. on July 20, 2013

Why can't I just pay for the television stations I want to watch? As the Internet has grown towards universal access why are we still saddled with television access through geographically limited providers bundling channels that I as a consumer may or may not want? Why can't I buy access to channels independently online? Why is it that the only internet television provider, Hulu, is owned by big media. I petition this Administration as a citizen of this country to investigate what appears to be collusive actions by cable companies that prohibits the free buying and selling of media access and potentially inflates prices.
