Please Issue a Stimulus Package To cover Social Security Recipients' missing Cost of Living Increases

Created by F.W. on December 05, 2014

During the financial crisis social Security Recipients did not receive COLA increases. Now that the economy has recovered, our COLA increases have meager. . In 2009 and 2010 you ordered no COLA for SSI and SSDI recipients. Since 2011 we have gotten COLA raises totaling 5.3% versus 8.1% during the years 2007 and 2008.

You have little influence on the cost of living. Nonetheless you do have control over the COLA increases. Please Mr. President; I’m not the only recipient of SSI and SSDI that is going through this.

An economic stimulus program for Social Security beneficiaries would be fair and good for the economy. Our stimulus could be in the form of two checks in 2015.
