Please keep Texas with the United States of America.

I don't want Texas to secede from the US.
All of this has been spurred from a simple, petty disagreement. Why should all of Texas be afflicted by a gathering a few thousand. There's MILLIONS that live here, I being one of them.
I don't wish to secede from America because while we would probably gain a few things, we'd lose a lot more. How do we propose to defend ourselves as an individual country? Are we supposed to expect that our economy will be as high as now if we separate completely from the US?
Texas does get benefits from being American.
We are supposedly "the country that others look up to", supposedly "the best".
How can anyone agree with that if disagreeable people want to secede simply because they don't like the President?
Let's come to a peaceful conclusion. Let's stay.
