Please keep tradition, and American jobs, alive by wearing Allen Edmonds shoes to Inauguration Day on January 21st.

Created by S.J. on January 18, 2013

According to Nate C. Hindman's article on the Huffingtonpost.com website, "Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush all share something in common: On Inauguration Day, each wore a pair of Allen Edmonds shoes."

Apparently, President Obama chose to wear Cole Haan shoes. While comfortable they may be in a "walking a mile in another man's shoes" sense, American born and bred they are not. While none can reasonably expect any American politician to wear, buy, use American made products and services 100% of the time, it does seem that this would be a simple way to:

Keep a positive tradition alive

Bring interest to an American company and brand

Show that the POTUS continues to pay attention to the "little guy"

and

Possibly bring a few manufacturing jobs to the US
