I want to seek out an aggressive medical team that can find a cure for JRA..So many parents and children are tired of living this way! This is not typical arthritis that older people get, this is an autoimmune disease that starts eating our kids joints away as early as one year! All the meds and treatments are so harsh on the body, what is going to happen 10 years down the road! These kids need better treatments!! My daughter was diagnosed at 20 months! She will have a life of pain, or horrible side effects from meds if we can't figure out a better way. I have lots behind me that feel the same way. This issue is never talked about, when I tell people that my 6 year has arthritis they laugh. They have no idea that it might not ever go way!! A life in pain, or worse, being disabled. Please!
