As a Veteran, applying through USAJobs seems to be a brick wall. Many Vets with outstanding credentials are being told time and again they are not qualified for positions they apply to, even though they are more than qualified. The application process is very convoluted and works in a manner than hinders the applicants success.
We are told different "tricks" on how to apply and how to get our application noticed. We are told that we will receive employment preference as a Vet and more so as a 30% or more disabled Vet. From speaking with other Vets, it seems many of us get nowhere applying through USAJobs.
We are requesting the administration to either identify a way to make applying to federal positions easier for Vets or revamp the current way of applying through USAJobs.
