Please Make CDMA Carriers Use CSIM or R-UIM Cards for their Networks, Similar to GSM Carriers.

Created by V.S. on January 26, 2013

Currently, only GSM carriers use SIM(Subscriber Identity Module) Cards which allow the use of unlocked phones, not specifically made for them, on their network. Now CDMA carriers do not use any type of removable module, meaning only phones branded under their name could be used on their network. Now there are technologies available for removable modules for CDMA networks, like CSIM(CDMA Subscriber Identity Module) or R-UIM(Removable User Identity Module). This technology is already widely used in foreign nations(Japan and India ) that use CDMA. So please make these carriers, specifically Sprint and Verizon, switch to this technology. This will result in in more freedom of choice and affordable plans. Thank You
