Please make it illegal for states not to provide "emergency housing" for ADULT homeless families with mental illness.

It should be illegal for homeless families with mental illness not to be provided an emergency place to live "Together" while awaiting permanent supportive/subsidized housing. In the City of Raleigh, state of North Carolina there are only shelters for families with children under the age of 18. It is stated that in order for a family to receive a housing voucher that family MUST be considered homeless, but with shelters ONLY for women with children under 18. The adult family MUST go STREET HOMELESS. This exacerbates the illness. When the illness is made worst, the hospitalizations increase. More hospitalizations exacerbate the illness for the ill party is depressed and have thoughts of suicide. Thoughts of suicide brings severe grief/ depression for the family, more illness. Help us.
