"Knockout", a recent dangerous game has begun to emerge in our country in growing popularity. The game is as follows: a group of men approach a bystander on the street that is by himself/herself. One member of the group than hits the bystander as hard as they can, trying to knock him out. Obviously this is an incredibly dangerous game. Not only are the victims seriously injured or killed in some cases, but increasingly, the victim produced a weapon and, in self defense, kills the attacker(s).
Most of those playing this game are young, from disenfranchised populations, and the reason they give is that they are bored and have nothing to do.
President Obama, you have a unique connection to young people in America. Please try to address this growing dangerous game called Knockout.
