Given the climate of the current Presidential campaign and the statements made by one of the nominees, I request that as the current President, you have the US Military and our National Guard units on alert the night of November 8th and for the next several days following the election. I and many of my fellow citizens are concerned that the outcome of the election might spark violent demonstrations by groups of armed individuals. Please take precautions to make sure this issue can be swiftly addressed, if it arises.
