Please publicly state that there is nothing wrong with being Muslim or Arab, Mr. President.

If the POTUS himself would respond to these accusations made by ill-informed individuals over the course of his candidacy and presidency, it would mean quite a bit to the Muslim and Arab peoples of America and the world. Simply saying, "I'm a Christian and I am from Hawaii," while the truth, which is good, does not defuse the racial and anti-Muslim sentiment and politically dramatized negative and violent caricatures which unfortunately remain prevalent as one of the more acceptable forms of public hate speech. The President has shown he is man desiring to bring the people together instead of dividing us, highlighted in a particular speech, and it follows that he would be inclined to do the same in this instance. President Barack Hussein Obama, be bold enough to lead on this issue again.
