On may 29, 1981 Puerto Rican patriot and Vietnam veteran Oscar López Rivera was arrested and imprisoned with a "seditious conspiracy" charge. He has served 32 years out of a total 70 years. Sentence that former President Bill Clinton stated publicly in 1999 that was (and still is) disproportionately and unfair and that it is undoubtedly due to his political belief. Oscar refused to be released then because didn't agreed with the conditions set, but now he should be release without any conditions. In prison he has suffered and still suffering civil and human rights violation, reason why this petition is a civil rights & liberty and human rights issue, in addition to a family issue because he has been deprived to be with his daughter and grand-daughter and his nation
which are his family.
