These petitions (and counter petitions) for Secession of States by and large violate the Terms of Participation in that they state or imply that such "States" or "the people" as a collective body want to secede. This is false, misleading and defamatory against the vast majority of citizens, public officials and elected representatives of the respective states who never intended or contemplated any such action.
Definition of defamatory: "Defamation—is the communication of a statement that makes a claim, expressly stated or implied to be factual, that may give an individual, business, product, group, government, religion, or nation a negative or inferior image."
Such statements as appear in these petitions are false have done harm, and have been made with reckless disregard for the truth.
