Remove the governmental use of Marriage and have all marriages refer to as a civil union. and allow everyone the same ability to have the federal benefit from it. but allowing persons to maintain the religious freedom to marry as there faith directs and allows. thus preventing the federal government from tampering with the separation of church and state forcing religions to go against its doctrine.
if all are allowed to have a civil marriage via with all the same rights there is no need to infringe upon the rights of religion granted in the first amendment.
this also allows parishioners to partake in there religion without interference of the government
