Created by T.H. on April 16, 2016

Alexander Hamilton centralized the union of business and government, writing two-thirds of the Federalist Papers defending the Constitution. As the first Secretary of the Treasury, he established the Bank of the United States, precursor of the Federal Reserve, transforming America into an economic power of unparalleled strength. He opposed slavery. Demanded they become fully freed American citizens, A. Jackson owned slaves. Harriet Beecher Stowe a leading Abolitionist wrote Uncle Tom's Cabin, exposing the immoral contradiction of Black Slavery, as a legal institution, and the writers of the Declaration of Independence’s statement “All Men Are Created Equal”, thereby she wrote to Abolish Slavery.
