Please stop DOL before Sept 30 from changing the H-2B hourly wage rate which hurts American jobs and small businesses

Created by T.D. on September 22, 2011

The H-2B temporary worker program is an integral component to the operation of small businesses nationwide, particularly those that are seasonal in nature. These companies are reliant on the H-2B program to fill temporary vacancies in occupations such as seafood processing and landscaping, among others. This situation is extremely urgent as the DOL accelerated the wage rate implementation date to October 1, 2011. H-2B program workers do not “take” jobs from Americans who want them but rather take the jobs American workers have left vacant. The Final Rule, with its accelerated implementation date, will stunt, if not reverse, the growth of businesses and the career opportunities of year-round, U.S. workers. Please help now.
