Benjamin Franklin once wrote, "They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."
It is in this vein that I ask our Federal Government to stop trying to protect me so much.
I've thought about this long and hard, and the trade-offs of losing my civil liberties simply aren't worth it over the negligible threat that is the "terrorism" umbrella.
