Many industrialized nations have done away their one cent coins. Australia, New Zealand, and even our neighbors to the north have forgone the penny as inflation has increased the prices of goods around the world. The penny has proven itself useless and it's time to stop hanging on to an outdated coin that costs the government over $130 millon to produce $50 million worth of currency. Stop letting Big Zinc convince you that we need the penny, we clearly don't.
