On May 9th, the ratio of carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere surpassed 400 parts per million in an average daily reading. If carbon dioxide emissions continue to rise and pass this threshold for an average annual amount, climate scientists unanimously agree we will have gone off "the tipping point" in which the Earth will experience environmental calamities. This rise in global temperatures will have devastating consequences in the form of crop loss due to excessive heat waves, water shortages from prolonged droughts, sea level rise which will inundate coastal areas, and other unforeseen tragic events n to name a few. Please use your executive power to mandate industrial and retail sectors to use best management practices to limit and stop the increased emissions of greenhouse gases.
