Please use ideas from both parties and cut spending, raise taxes on the wealthy, use the extra to pay off all US debt

This is basically about the colossal debt our government holds onto. The people that we vote in cannot continue such idiocy and expect the country to function for long if we default altogether. So a simple solution would be good and reversing this debt would really help out everyone.
