If a firearm owned by an individual is used to murder someone the owner should also be held accountable. We all have a right to own weapons. We also have a responsibility to ensure those same weapons are not used improperly. How come the parents, vendors, or purchasers of these firearms have no worry of prosecution. Wouldn't this be a better way to ensure that those who claim to be responsible gun owners are actually being responsible. Lets make sure the burden of keeping guns out of the wrong hands actually has consequences for failing.
