In the course of human events it at times becomes necessary for one people to dissolve their ties with another. In recognition of this we petition that President Obama pledge to never initiate force against the people of any state of the United States where a majority of the people within such a state have voted in favor of political independence from the United States.
Furthermore, we ask that President Obama recognize that, upon such a vote, the citizens of the newly independent state would no longer be liable for the debts, alliances, treaties, or other obligations undertaken by the United States, that the United States would have no claim upon any property, real or otherwise, within the borders of such a state, and that such a state would be free to form its own associations.
