pledge to veto any action which attempts to limit anyone access to marital privileges

Created by J.P. on May 08, 2012

We believe that the United States government ought to protect the rights of all citizens, regardless of any arbitrary factors including, but not limited to, ethnicity, gender, physical capability, or sexual orientation.

We believe that any differentiation between the rights of male-female couples and other non-traditional couples, including same-sex couples, ought to be banned by our federal government.

Therefore, we urge the Obama Administration to:
1) Pledge to veto any efforts to define marriage as a heterosexual union.
2) Actively advocate for workplace, health-oriented, and other regulatory equality for non-traditional marriages.
3) Understand and advocate for marital equality as a non-partisan issue.
4) Use its considerable visibility to openly and unequivocally support equity.
