Officers who are sworn to code of ethics often have undisclosed reprimand with no accountability or transparency for wrong doing they are reported to have committed.
Officers can do the same unethical behavior with no recourse at all. (at least from the public's view point as these issues are confidential)
Just like our criminal system, officers should have a 3 strike policy on repeated write up on breaking the code of ethic they have sworn to uphold.
Officers who have been reported for violations of these code of ethics, the public should be able to see what kind of reprimand or consequences these officers are facing.
If the officer is found to have violated the oath they are sworn to 3 times they should be fired.
