We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Police Brutality | State of Emergency

Created by P.D. on July 07, 2016

On 7/5/16 Alton Sterling of Baton Rouge, LA was shot, while pinned to the ground, by officers Blane Salamoni and Howie Lake II of the BRPD. In less than 48-hours, on 7/6/16, Philando Castile was shot, through his car window, by a police officer in Falcon Heights, MN. Both victims were Black men, and their aggressors white police officers. Both tragedies were recorded, and viewed with international outrage.

In light of the disproportionate killings of Black Americans at the hands of police officers, yearly, these underwriters petition the Federal Government to declare a State of Emergency on police brutality against Black citizens - if current conditions continue as they are we risk the state of a complete erosion of faith in the very government that was created in order to keep us safe.
