Police officers should be required to have a mental evaluation before becoming a police officer. They should have this test because some police officers react with deadly actions that can be avoided. Some police officers lack the mental state to perform their job. Too many police officers react with weapons when it comes to minorities. They should also be trained not to kill but to solve problems with nonlethal options According to The Guardian News,"black Americans killed by police [are] twice as likely to be unarmed as white people."
