Police: Wearable Camera Requirement.

Created by A.O. on April 09, 2015

To require all uniformed police officers to wear a camera that will record all functions of the officer on duty. This will ensure the safety of citizens and the good cooperation of police officers to comply with their responsibilities to the community more closely. The recent spike in police using deadly force on duty against U.S. cities is not a spike at all. The only reason this issue has come to the forefront of newspapers is because there are more citizens filming these encounters with their cell phone. This is at the will of the citizen and by no means required of them. This proposition will be to require police officers to record their engagements with the community via a wearable camcorder. Our hearts and minds go out to the innocent victims of deadly force by uniformed officers.
