Politicians need a reality check. This is a proposal for the salary of our leaders.

This is a proposal to put our politicians back at an elected official being paid poorly due to them having a main job not related to politics.
If you look back, you'll see that most elected officials were not paid well but merely paid for their time served. It was a second volunteer job, not a career.
I propose going back to no more career politics or at least that you can't make a living from it. Only exceptions would be full time offices; Governors, mayors, presidents. But a scale back in salary would be in order though, can't have your leader able to get a new car when more than half of America can't with out a loan.
