We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

The Popular Vote Should Decide the Presidency!

Created by N.R. on November 10, 2016

The electoral college has undermined the popular vote for the second time in 20 years. The majority of the American people voted and decided on Hillary Clinton as the next president, therefore she should be elected as president of the United States. The electoral college is an old, outdated system that doesn't take the true voice of the American people into account.

On December 19th the electoral college will cast their vote for the winner of their state. They do not have to accept a Donald Trump presidency. Let's make our voices heard and demand that the candidate who received the most votes by the people gets the presidency.

With this petition, let us tell Congress that we, the American people, will not accept a president who spreads bigotry and hateful rhetoric. We deserve better.
