Posthumously award 8-year-old Tyler Doohan of E. Rochester, NY the Presidential Metal of Freedom.

Created by T.V. on January 30, 2014

We the people ask President Obama to postumously award the Presidential Metal of Freedom, one of the highest honors that can be bestowed upon an American citizen, to 8-year-old Tyler Doohan of East Rochester, New York.

Doohan saved six family members, including two younger children from a mobile home fire in Penfield, New York on Sunday, January 19th, 2014. Dohann died upon reentering the mobile home to save his disabled grandfather.

We, the signees of this petition, believe that Doohan's act of heroism merits that he be postumously awarded the Presidental Medal of Freedom as it met the definition of "any person who has made an especially meritorious contribution to...cultural or other significant public or private endeavors."
