posthumously award Andrew Breitbart with the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his work ensuring a free and honest press

Created by E.S. on March 06, 2012

The Presidential Medal of Freedom is awarded by the President "for especially meritorious contribution to (1) the security or national interests of the United States, or (2) world peace, or (3) cultural or other significant public or private endeavors".
Andrew Breitbart dedicated his life to ensuring that every American had his or her voice heard by transforming media from an endeavor dominated by the cultural elite, to an army of citizen journalists. He, with the help of others, saved millions in taxpayer money by exposing ACORN through a hidden video investigation.
We believe that he has satisfied these requirements and call upon President Obama to award him with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
